Welcome! My name is Christine Chiu and I’m a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. My vision is to support and encourage individuals and families toward emotional health and restoration.
Prior to pursuing therapy, I spent 5 years working in Human Resources and completed my Certificate in HR Management through UC Berkeley Extension, expanding my career counseling and coaching skills.
Since 2007 I have been working at Christian Psychotherapy Services, specializing in counseling adults and adolescents, covering various concerns including: Abuse & Trauma, Anxiety, Career Counseling, Depression, Emotional/Spiritual Health, Identity Formation & Life Transitions.
I enjoy traveling overseas to volunteer my time in teaching basic Counseling Courses to young adult students, as well as presenting workshops on Emotional Health and Wellness. I value the importance of training and equipping aspiring counselors in becoming effective and compassionate healers, and advocates of emotional health. I also highly value a culturally-sensitive approach to counseling and will intentionally consider one's background, faith, and experiences when working with individuals and families.
Recently, I also worked as a Case Manager at a Supportive Housing Site in the Tenderloin neighborhood - providing advocacy, counseling, and referrals to residents. I had the privilege to support previously homeless women in building a new life and community after transitioning from the streets to safe housing. I was also trained to work with survivors of Domestic Violence through the nonprofit organization based at this site.

If you have any questions or would like a free phone consultation, please feel free to email or call me. I look forward to speaking with you.
